Q: | Who pays all of the traveling expenses? |
A: | We do. This means you no longer contend with the variable expenses of travel and you know exactly what your end cost will be. |
Q: | Do your consultants code inpatient or outpatient? |
A: | Both - some of our consultants are experienced in both areas and others are specialized in one specific area - E&M for example. |
Q: | Are your consultants credentialed and experienced? |
A: | Yes to both. All of our consultants are credentialed and have a minimum of three years experience. |
Q: | Will your consultants abstract the record in addition to coding? |
A: | Absolutely. We're there to help and, with instructions from you, can abstract and enter the desired data. |
Q: | How soon in advance do I need to schedule? |
A: | The sooner the better. We are typically scheduling 1-2 months ahead of the current month. HOWEVER, we do everything we can to accommodate those last minute emergency requests. |
Q: | Our facility isn't currently experiencing a coding backlog but I'm not certain of the quality of the work. What types of audits do you do? |
A: | You name it. We can perform audits of all types: DRG, CPT, E&M, Compliance, Quality. We can also perform reviews for all coding levels: beginning, intermediate, or advanced. |
Q: | Our facility wasn't successful in recruiting an experienced coder and we've decided to "home grow" our own. Can you assist with coder training? |
A: | Absolutely. We can tailor a training program to your specific need - from starting with the basics of medical terminology to advanced coding guidelines. |
